OmniSource is a support team for eligible Omnitrope® (somatropin [rDNA origin] injection) patients and caregivers. The people at OmniSource are skilled at answering non-medical questions about patient services, guidance through the insurance process, and providing helpful Omnitrope materials. They can even arrange for an OmniSource Nurse Trainer to provide injection training, if requested by the patient. A Patient Support Specialist guides patients through the on-boarding process.
Support Materials: Upon approval, patients will receive an age-appropriate Starter Kit backpack filled with resources for them to get started on, and to continue with, their Omnitrope treatment. For more information on what is contained in the Starter Kit, please see below.
Injection Training: If requested by the patient, an OmniSource Nurse Trainer will provide the proper instruction for using the Omnitrope Pen and cartridge or vial and syringe by visiting the patient’s home for an injection demonstration.
Additional Patient Education: Patient Support Specialists are dedicated to supporting patients and caregivers. They provide information about the Co-Pay Program,* coordinate device and Starter Kit shipments, and can help with the non-medical questions patients may have.
The Sproutz™ is a program that can help patients under the age of 13 learn about their treatment in a fun and interactive way. The program features an illustrated band of kid-friendly rock stars to help patients and their families/caregivers with questions they may have, ranging from injection training to insurance assistance, and more.
The Omnitrope Starter Kit backpack is available in two versions, one for children under 13 years of age and one for ages 13 years and up.
